She was only seasonal Christmas help for J. Crew, but Ingrid was the most helpful retail worker I had ever encountered. It was her attitude that struck me. She was not pushy, and she smiled a lot. Small talk actually meant something. She "transcended" the target demographic by being so easy going. I was with a friend picking out a sweater and they had one on hold in the back, and one on a mannequin. She said that this was the last day for holding for the other guy and that if I decided I wanted it, I could come back and it would be mine. We checked a few other stores, but nothing similar -- no one even approached us for help. I went back to get the sweater I liked but also to thank and compliment Ingrid on her wonderful customer service. Great job Ingrid and thank you J. Crew for hiring capable, effective, and friendly staff!
