The last time I went to Madam K's pizza place in Ballard, our order got fairly screwed up (twice) and it took quite a while for them to rectify the order (it was of the allergic variety and needed to be fixed) so we figured we would give them another whirl this past weekend.I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't a server error and a kitchen one the last time. This time I'm not so sure.. it started out well enough as we were sat immediately, (surprising for a Saturday evening at this place) and in a good comfortable spot in by the storefront window. But after we ordered appetizers which were delicious (wheat garlic bread with maranara sauce) the server, who was unattentive and always in a hurry, so much so she didnt have time to really listen to anything we had to say. She brought out our Spinach and Broccoli pizza before she had cleared our appetizer dishes, and even though we signaled we wanted new plates for the pizza she didnt get the message. It ended up being a messy meal.
Worse yet, the pizza was cool in the middle and only hot on the edges. And even then not very hot. The pizza also had broccoli that barely tasted cooked and was in chunks that were hardly chopped at all, completely covered so much that there was barely any cheese. It just tasted like a big bowl of broccoli and a little pizza on the side. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. As we were finishing our meal, the restaurant got busy, and there people standing a mere inches away from our table top for about 15 minutes straight. It was a Saturday evening, but still.
The best way to sum it up is that the leftovers are still in my refridgerator and untouched. That's completely unheard of.

i like this place, but they do always seem "too busy to care." if that makes sense.
