But more importantly, he's not a clone. With the influx of Marvel Movies lately its hard to decide which ones to see. At all, much less on making the decision on which ones are must-see and for the theaters.

And with an already crowded market, there are even more in the works for 2009 including another Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 2 and Avengers flicks all coming into focus.

I went to see Iron Man in the theater when it came out, upon my roommate's insistance. I was impressed then, but I'm even more impressed now. I decided to rent it a few days ago and finally got a chance to watch it last night. Although my roommate has a 52" flat screen tv and the backlight adds something to it, I feel as though Iron Man is best viewed at home.

It's a great action movie, and has all the elements of a strong comic book hero movie. However, the personality of its hero, Tony Stark, (played by Robert Downey Jr., or 'RDJ') is quite memorable and unique as it can relate to today's society. While remaining true to the original comic storyline, it doesn't portray the hero as a nerd (Spider-Man) a brooding lost soul (Batman) a scientist (the Hulk) but as a millonaire playboy womanizer. He's also a weapons designer for the military. Very contemporary.

Regardless, its pretty standard comic book movie fare, and Jeff Bridges also does a great job as RDJ's confidant. Although Gwyneth Paltrow as his love interest seemed to be a strange choice. As his assistant/maid is even odder one. But for the most part, its clear that its directed by Jon Favreau (Elf).

Good flick and I agree that Paltrow was a questionable casting move. I've never been impressed by her acting. Everyone else seems perfectly cast.

I saw it for the first time on an 8 inch screen while flying and still thought it was excellent! Can't wait to see it on a bigger screen!
