Consumer Review - Highland Ice Arena

I hadn't been ice skating for a couple years, so we decided to stop by the Highland Ice Arena in Shoreline. The place really wasn't much to look at from the outside, but where it mattered, the ice and the skates, it was in great shape.

At Highland you can rent either figure or hockey skates for the same price. I took some hockey skates having never tried them before. It took a couple minutes to get used to, but the skates were in good condition for rentals.

The rink is well-maintained and the ice was smooth. The prices are about what you'd expect for ice skating, almost $10 per person. It was sure fun though and well-worth it. And it wasn't too crowded.
