Consumer Review - GMAC Insurance

After my van was recently hit, I worked through the other driver's insurance to get the repairs done. They were insured by GMAC Insurance.

GMAC was the most helpful auto insurance company I have worked through for an accident. They came to my house to estimate the damages on the vehicle, instead of making me drive out/get towed to some estimators office. They set me up with a great rental car and even extended the rental period without me having to do anything when the repairs took a little longer than expected. They just called and told me the rental had been extended a week. They hooked me up with a great repair shop (Lakeside Collision in Kirkland) who did a fantastic job. They handled everything with the repair shop seamlessly. After my vehicle was towed to the shop, the only thing I had to do was pick it up when it was finished.

The agent handling my claim called every couple of days with updates on the repairs. She was very friendly and even fun to talk with on the phone.

The whole process of setting up the claim, getting the repairs, rental, towing, etc. was made so easy and painless with GMAC. Next time I get hit, I hope the driver is insured by GMAC.
