Supporting Evidence

Yesterday I went to Fred Meyers to pick up a fishing license. I am not particularly into fishing but the man in my life is, so the license became necessary. I have gone to the Fred Meyers in Kirkland many times but I have never had to go to their Customer Service booth, so this was a first.
I waited about 15 minutes for the 3 people in front of me to be helped by the 5 different employees that went in and out of the counter. One would finish up helping someone then walk away, rather than asking for the next in line. I was a little ticked by that but figured at least there was one less person in front of me.
So at last it was my turn! I explained to the 90 year old what I needed and she slowly told me that it would be a few minutes because the machine for the licenses was in use. I stepped to the side and watched another 4 people get helped before I stepped in to check and see if the machine was open yet, as it looked as though it had been for the last 3 people.
It was and after about 20 minutes the obviously computer savvy elderly woman was able to get all my information into the system and print the license.
When I told my boyfriend about the ordeal he told me there are machines at Wal-Mart that take about 5 minutes. I just about screamed.
If you need a fishing license, or anything else from customer service at Fred Meyer save yourself some time and just go elsewhere!

Those little customer service booths at Freddies are jokes. They always stick the most unfriendly, unhelpful people on the staff in there.

I have issues with Fred Meyer and their parking.. each corner of the store looks exactly the same from the outside, and i find it easy to get turned around by mistake. One time I lost 15 minutes looking for my car and was nearly reduced to tears

I do that a lot too. I went there for a plant and parked on the opposite side of the store and had to hike around the whole place with my plant trying to find where I came in.

I probably just will not go there for anything that requires the customer service desk again.
