I went shopping at Fred Meyer (FM) the other night. My wife and I decided to check and see if they had any baby things. We were surprised by finding a large baby section. After recently visiting Babies"R"Us, I was very impressed with FM's prices. There was a large clearance section and many other items were on sale as well; some up to 60% off. We found a Graco stroller and travel set for $150 that was $190 at Babies"R"Us. Though FM didn't have the kind of selection baby specialty stores have, the prices were fantastic and I would encourage anyone looking for baby items to check their local Fred Meyer before paying the high convenience charges at the specialty stores.

I've checkout out their baby section before for a shower I attended...I, too, was surprised and impressed with the selection and prices. Additionally, this Fred Meyer has a decent selection of name-brand workout clothing (Nike, Puma, Champion, Dansko, Adidas...), often on sale for 25% off marked price.

I've gotten baby shower stuff there too...I think it was a lil' Pooh Bear outfit for like $15. They also have a really good organic veggie/fruit section that was just added to most stores recently!

Fred Meyer carries everything. At first I didnt like it, but now I love it. Except if you are looking for hammocks. I've been waiting for the "shipment to come in" for over a month now. I think I'll look elsewhere..
