Bose headphones a steal

I'm not sure if this counts as beef with Best Buy or Bose but Best Buy has its share of problems and I think everyone knows that already.

Bose however, boast that they provide "Better Sound Through Research"and they seem to have the proof to back it up. They have their stamp on equipment used for Olympics stadiums, Broadway Theatres, the Sistine Chapel and the Space Shuttle!

Impressive to the point that you would assume all of their products are examplary working machines and deserve their sometimes hefty pricetags. Even before learning of their reputation, one could assume their equipment is top of the line as their Bose Wave radios run as much as $600. Surely they couldn't get away with that if it didn't run smoothly, right? (My friend's parents has this exact machine it fills up an entire house with sound clearly).

I purchased a pair of Bose In-Ear ear bud headphones thinking all of the things listed above. They were pricey at $99 but I assumed that I was missing out on something with my music with the standard issue factory earbud headphones issued by Apple. Similarly to replacing factory car speakers to enhance sound.

I was completely wrong. My new pricey headphones were not only uncomfortable to wear, but they offered nothing in terms of any new sound. It's possible that I have failing hearing, but its also possible that Bose is trying to sneak one by us. Sound systems in the Space Shuttle or not, their earbud headphones are a total ripoff.

If I go near Bose again, it will be to purchase the cumbersome, offputting and isolating world of over the ear headphones.
