I moved to BECU about a year ago. I made the switch because for some reason BofA could not get me a debit card. After waiting for a debit card for about 10 months and THREE different accounts I told BofA to f*#@k off.
BECU has been a hassle free bank since I have joined. They have all of the great offers that any other bank would have and their online banking is the best that I have used. BECU has given me $50 just for bringing new members to the bank (2 ea).
I have overdraft protection which pulls money from your savings account and puts it into your checking. I have overdrawn my account with not enough money in my savings to cover the amount overdrawn. Usually you would expect overdraft fees but in my case there were none applied. I am not sure if they just missed it but I am not going to start asking why.
All in all BECU has not done wrong by me and I would suggest anyone having issues with their current bank to give them a try. You can create an account and make 7.5% interest on you money in both your savings account and checking account as long as the amounts are $500 and below.
