Consumer Review - Beijing Herbal Foot Massage

First off, I had never received a professional massage before this. So my knowledge on this topic is lacking. However, I had a great experience at Beijing Herbal Foot Massage. I went in for a half hour session of body work, but when that was up, I couldn't help myself from getting the full hour. The masseuse was efficient and well-practiced, as far as I could tell. I very much enjoyed the massage. The hour long session included my back, legs, arms, head, shoulders, chest, fingers, and feet. When I left, I felt like a new man, completely reinvigorated.

There were only a couple drawbacks. One, the masseuse spoke no English other than "okay," which made communication require the assistance of the front desk work who could translate. Two, they don't have any private rooms for massages, only curtained off areas. This means that all the noise of the shop, whether it's people coming in off the street, the cash register, water running, are all heard through the curtain. I imagine this would make it difficult for some to relax. I didn't find the noise overwhelming, I am used to background noise in my life, but a quieter room would have been more pleasant I think. They did have some peaceful Oriental music playing in the background.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience, but I figure most massages are. Their prices are very reasonable (the main reason I tried them out). Aside from those couple of flaws, I would definitely like to return for another massage. Sometime soon, hopefully.
