My son mailed me a DVD of the BBC show Absolutely Fabulous and I just love it. The premise is the life of two older-middle aged women, Eddy and Patsy that are a bit dried up from partying in the 60’s. Eddy is a completely mad PR in London and Patsy is a retired model who lives off her friend.Do not assume that Eddy is not a half-wit because she works, in one episode her intelligent conservative daughter, Saffy asks her mother what PR stands for and Eddy has no idea.
Both women are hilariously wasted most of the time and get into ridiculous situations. Overall, it is a humorous look at getting old and making peace (or not) with yourself and your life. Of course neither women do, but it’s hilarious to watch them try.

i caught a few episodes of this show a few years back on comedy central. i liked it, and the actresses on it are good, but i couldnt really understand them! perhaps its worth another try.. i think comedy central canceled it though
