I went to the first home game of the Seahawk’s season yesterday and it was sick. Probably ranking among the coolest experiences of my life so far, it was a day filled with drinking, yelling and joy; and we didn't even win.My girl and I and another couple we know that have season tickets headed to Seattle around 11 to find parking and a bar. After locating both we started right in with Bloody Marys, only because if you are not intoxicated enough they won’t’ let you into the stadium. Well, no not really, but it seemed like a rule they should impose on all over 21 at the time.
After huffing it to the stadium and up the stairs, we were in! My girlfriend and I found another beer vendor and our seats and started cheering. Every time we were on defense waiting for the snap everyone was yelling all they could, even my girl, to get them to false start. We got a couple. The stadium fell silent when we had the ball and were going into a play, except the 49er’s fans that were not representing at all, (which was probably a good idea around all the drunken Seahawks fans around).
The game was a roller coaster of emotions. First we were up and then they inched back towards us. I shouldn’t have to tell you because if you live anywhere near Washington, you should have seen the game.
When the 49er’s missed the 20 yard field goal for the win seconds before the game ended, the entire stadium erupted. I was hugging and high-fiving huge dudes all around me I didn’t even know. Now I know we did end up losing, it was a very sobering truth, but we still ended up having a great time. The bars after the game were overflowing with people drinking their sorrows away; I was one of them.
I know all the tickets are “sold out,” but you can still easily find them online. I had mine emailed to me since I decided to go last minute when the tickets became really cheap because of Burleson’s ACL injury. I would suggest going to a game this season if you have a chance. The ticket price is completely worth it, just bring your own flask and snacks and you will save a ton.

you said a mouthful in this review..1) were the bars packed (annoyingly so) before the game? 2) are you allowed to bring a flask? Do they search bags heavily..? Are nosebleed seats still worth the price?
