Last Friday after a long work week my boss was really cool and offered to take everyone out to lunch for a Friday treat. We all voted, deciding on pizza and my boss told us he knew of a great place within walking distance. I don’t complain when it’s about free food and so we started huffing it.After a short walk to downtown Kirkland we arrived at Coyote Creek Pizza Company. I have driven by it a couple times while at work but hadn’t gone in yet because there are a ton of other cute little restaurants in the 85th and Market St area. I wish I had before!
When we ordered some chips and salsa as a starter, silly me figured they would come out like any other chips and salsa. I learned this place is serious about Italian when the chips came out with homemade salsa on the side and a bowl of ricotta cheese with olive oil and herbs sprinkled on top, in the center of the chips. The mix of the cheese with salsa was fantastic.
We picked three medium pizzas for five adults and ended up having an entire pizza left over. Everything was incredible; the pepperoni was homemade along with all the sauces and dough. Toppings were plentiful along with cheese.
Our waiter turned out to be the owner and he told us about this great special they run on Tuesday. $6.99 for unlimited breadsticks, Caesar salad and pizza. They just cook up a ton of different pies and place them throughout the restaurant for everyone’s dining pleasure.
We all left stuffed and happy, with the short walk to help burn the many calories we ingested. I ate a piece of the leftover stuff that was in the fridge all weekend and it was still good. I will certainly be back there this Tuesday to try out their special.
