The Annual Fishing Trip with Cachalot Charters

Annually, since I was ten or eleven, my father and I have gone halibut fishing out of Neah Bay, WA through Cachalot Charters. It is an event I look forward to all year long.

Cachalot Charters is reliable and friendly. Over the years, my dad and I have become good friends with the skipper, Dave Camp, and think highly of him and his crew. While aboard, the crew takes care of everything except catching the fish. The skipper takes us to good fishing pockets every year and we have yet to not limit on a trip.

The boat is dependable and seaworthy. It is a beautiful 54' vessel that offers plenty of sitting (or sleeping) room. There is a heated cabin if the weather turns cold, two bathrooms, a dining area, and kitchen.

The scenery is always beautiful and more often than not we see whales and/or porpoises. Every year, more and more of our friends and family join us and it has gotten to the point where not only do we fill the boat, but we almost have to have a lottery to see who gets to go. Everyone who goes has a great time, as long as they don't forget their dramamine.
