About the Index
The Consupo Index works in part like the current stock markets. Each entry in the Consupo database has a Consumer Satisfaction Value (CSV). The CSV is an accumulation of each entry’s feedback from Consupo community members. The CSV is determined by the cases posted, either positive (Props case) or negative (Beef case), and the ratings those cases receive. The more times a case is rated and the higher the ratings it receives, the more effect that case, either positive or negative, has on the overall value of that entry’s CSV.
Using the Index
The Consupo Index is to be used by responsible consumers when considering where and what to purchase. It is a reference tool available to any Consupo.com visitor. At Consupo, we hope that by holding companies accountable for their actions we can encourage them to do business in an honest and straightforward fashion. When the quality of companies and products, both good and bad, is brought to light, consumers benefit and can make purchases with greater confidence.
