Over the weekend my best friend had a Luau house warming party we've been planning for for months. I had to bring a good party gift since I helped throw the party and I decided boose would be the most immediately appreciated item I could have.

My boyfriend and I stopped at the liquor store and went straight to the vodka shelf in the back. My friend's favorite liquor is vodka and her choice drink lately has been a white Russian. Being an ex bartender I looked around for something that would really enhance the flavor of the drink. Alchemy chocolate infused vodka at $30 a fifth was staring me in the face in it's cool pyramid shaped bottle. I decided it was the ultimate party gift the moment I saw it, grabbed a bottle of Kahlua and was out.

Usually the cashiers at liquor stores don't talk much to me, they're usually to busy scrutinizing my ID; but the guy just would not stop talking about the vodka and how great it was. He said the flavor was light enough to drink straight or with a little ginger ale.

We got to the party early to set up and cracked the bottle. Not only was the cashier completely right about drinking it straight (if you've ever had a chocolate cake shot you know the flavor), but the white Russians it made were to die for! By the end of the night the Russians were in such demand we just made group drinks in a huge margarita cup (see pics) so I wouldn't have to keep mixing drinks every couple minutes.

I would highly suggest this brand to any other vodka drinker. Upon a little more research post hangover I found that they are a polish vodka brand with tons of infused vodkas flavors. I also found they have hilarious commercials (check out the youtube clip)! In fact even if you aren't a vodka drinker you might want to try them out. My boyfriend usually sticks to single barrel Crown and he was drinking the Alchemy on the rocks all night.
