Supporting Evidence
With all the negative talk about Vista these days I would like to add a little hype to the pro-Vista side using my experience with the operating system. My laptop runs it and although it was difficult at first to locate where My Network Connections and the C drive had gone. Some of the headings have changed for major folders and programs, but once you figure out where they went it seems the folders are more easily assessable than before.
Windows Media Player has evolved and de-volved in a couple different ways. Now displaying album artwork and sorting all the songs by artist then by album has improved my understand and listening power with my MP3 collection. Unfortunately it is now very difficult to sort downloaded MP3's into the rest of the music because you can no longer just renaming an MP3's song title and artist. Vista needs to be able to find an album the MP3 was released on to sort it with the rest of the music, and finding it is sometimes difficult through their browser.
The warning systems about programs accessing my computer have stopped me from downloading a bug more than once. The safety systems are also the easiest I have used, turning on and off pop-up blockers and the firewall are very simple, as is connecting to the Internet wirelessly or hardwired.
Vista does take a little time to start up, but the new display I also utilize often with a calendar on the desktop. I also am also always using the Snip It tool that comes standard and allows you to make a jpeg out of anything on your screen.
I'm not saying it is the new XP, but with all the updates to fix bugs pretty much out by now, the O.S. is not as bad as the rap it's getting.

i kind of like the way the windows look on the page in "space" its kinda of easier to locate them faster, especially since i'm wildly guilty of multi-tasking, page-wise..
